HoD’s Message
Welcome to the Department of Computer Science at Sadanam Kumaran College, Pathiripala .We started our journey in the year of 2013. Over the past years, we have grown our expertise and competence in the core Computer Science stream .The primary focus of our curriculum is to impart technical know-how to students, promote their problem-solving skills and innovation of new technologies. The students are encouraged to undertake various research projects.
The department has well qualified faculty. The objective of the department is to prepare students for a successful career in Industry, Research & Academics to meet the needs of evolving Technology. We provide Internship which gives an opportunity for students to work as members of a team on multidisciplinary projects. Our department provides students with a strong foundation in the mathematical, and computer science fundamentals necessary to formulate, analyse and solve problems and to prepare them for higher studies as well as research. We promote student awareness for life-long learning and introduce them to professional ethics and codes as well as moulding them to contribute to society.

About the Department
The Department of Computer science was established in the year 2013.Technology is everywhere, and computer science graduates are needed in every industry. Our goal is to equip you with the technical, problem-solving and leadership skills needed to create new computing technologies and to use software to empower people, organizations and society.
Regardless of your background knowledge with coding or technology Computer Science offers two undergraduate degree programs – Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA) and Bachelor of Computer science (BSc) through constituent colleges of the University of Calicut.
SKC contributes to the development of Information Technology by offering these programmes with the help of efficient and highly qualifies teachers and through well-equipped computer labs. The programme provides a thorough understanding of the concepts of Computer Science and Information Technology. In the final year, students also get an opportunity for Internship.
Gandhi Seva Sadan Charitable Trust was established in 2005 under which the Sadanam Kumaran College was started in 2012 propelled by the vision of the founder and the framed freedom fighter Sadanam Kumaran inspired to provide good quality education to students from rural areas and small towns.
Since its establishment, the Department of Computer Science has been offering not only quality education but also meeting the needs of current industry by imparting latest and updated practical knowledge regarding computer science and Information technology .At the same time the department also caters to the technical specification of the university.
